Colum O'Farrell (born December 13, 1977 ) is a retired Irish cross-country skier and biathlete .

Colum O'Farrell only made his international debut at the age of 35 in an FIS race in Fiemme Valley shortly before the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2013 . He was 62nd of 65 starters in the 10 kilometer freestyle. At the World Championships he failed as 118th in qualifying for the main field of the sprint competition. Over 15 kilometers of freestyle he failed as fourth from last in the qualification and was 144 in the final result. He also started in fun runs such as the Skarverennet in Norway.

At the start of the 2014/15 season , O'Farrell was the first Irishman ever to compete in a top international biathlon race. In the IBU Cup Sprint from Beitostølen , he reached 121st place, leaving only the Hungarian Bence Bánszki behind. The high point of the season was the 2015 European Biathlon Championships in Otepää , where O'Farrell finished last as 106th in the sprint and thus had to admit defeat to Bosnian Goran Košarac with nine mistakes, who was 105th ahead of him.
