The Comcast Center is the second tallest building in Philadelphia , in the Center City neighborhood . It is named after Comcast , which is the main tenant and is based here.
With 57 floors, the building is 297 meters high. It was built from January 2005 to May 2008 and opened in June 2008. At that time, it replaced One Liberty Place, which had been at the top since 1987, as the tallest building in the city. In 2018 it lost that title again to the Comcast Technology Center .
The world's largest water-filled pendulum absorber is installed in the Comcast Center (1300 t mass; over 1200 m³ water).
