Dolles village

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dolles Dorf (formerly: "AidA - Departure into Everyday Life") is a competition that has been held annually in early summer since 2003 on hr television , in which Hessian villages with less than 2000 inhabitants compete against each other. At the same time, Dolles Dorf is a weekly series as part of the Hessenschau , in which Hessian villages are presented.

General

Every Thursday a village is drawn in the Hessenschau to be shown in the broadcast on the following Saturday. Since 2016, a reporting team has been driving alternately from the studios in Frankfurt or Kassel to the respective location. A portrait of the village will be shot there, which will be shown on Saturday in the Hessenschau. The condition for participation in the draw is that the place had fewer than 2000 inhabitants before the regional reform in Hesse in 1972. At the beginning of the series, this condition was met by more than 1,600 villages in Hesse.

Since 2003, the villages drawn over the course of a year have been competing against each other in the early summer of the coming year to choose the “Dollste village of Hesse”. Four finalists will be determined in four preliminary rounds by telephone and online voting. On the Hessentag, these fight for the title in a large live show on hr television with sporting tasks and quiz questions. The final was initially moderated by Anne Brüning and Jens Kölker , and since 2011 by Franziska Reichenbacher and Jens Kölker. TV viewers can also influence the score via telephone and internet. The winner receives the Golden Uncle Otto, which is presented by the Prime Minister of the State of Hesse and the director of the Hessischer Rundfunk . The villages in places 2, 3 and 4 receive Uncle Otto in silver and bronze.

There is also a Dolles Dorf anthem with the title Heartbeat by Roy Rakete (Tobias Kämmerer) and Gerd Glitter (Mirko Förster), which was presented in 2004.

history

The series of the same name today in the Hessenschau was started in 1995 under the title AidA (Departure into Everyday Life) . On January 26, 1995, Bruchenbrücken , a district of Friedberg in the Wetterau, was the first to pull a "great village" out of the lottery wheel. On July 7, 2005, the title of the show in Dolles Dorf was changed and adapted to the competition that has been taking place since 2003. Since the beginning of the series until today, almost three quarters of the more than 1,600 villages in question have been drawn from the lottery wheel.
