The Communauté de communes de l'Embrunais was a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Hautes-Alpes in the region of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It was named after the Embrunais region, was founded on December 28, 1993 and comprised eight parishes. The administrative seat was in Embrun .

Historical development

On January 1, 2017, the community association with the Communauté de communes du Savinois Serre-Ponçon and the communities Chorges (from the Communauté de communes de la Vallée de l'Avance ) and Pontis (from the Communauté de communes Vallée de l'Ubaye ) merged to form the new Communauté de communes Serre-Ponçon .

tasks

In addition to promoting tourism and thus economic development, the tasks of the community association also included waste management and the maintenance of sports and cultural facilities. In addition, the Communauté de communes dealt with the preservation of listed buildings.
