The Communauté de communes de la Vallée de l'Avance was a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Hautes-Alpes in the region of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It was founded on December 14, 2000 and comprised nine parishes. The administrative seat was in La Bâtie-Neuve . The community association was named after the valley ( French vallée ) of the river Avance .

Historical development

The SIVOM de la Vallée de l'Avance was founded by a decree of April 30, 1971 . On December 14, 2000, today's Communauté de communes emerged from this. Following a decree of December 19, 2002, the Chorges community finally joined the community association on January 1, 2003.

On January 1, 2017, the community association (excluding the community of Chorges ) merged with the Communauté de communes du Pays de Serre-Ponçon to form the Communauté de communes Serre-Ponçon Val d'Avance . The parish of Chorges became part of the new Communauté de communes Serre-Ponçon .
