The Communauté de communes des Bords de Veyle is a former French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the Ain department , whose administrative seat was in Vonnas .
The association of municipalities consisted of six municipalities and had 8,366 inhabitants (as of 2013) on an area of 88.6 km 2 . The last president of the community association was Olivier Morandat.
tasks
The competencies required included the development and promotion of economic activities and tourism, as well as spatial planning based on a Schéma de Cohérence Territoriale . The association operated the garbage collection and assumed responsibility for household waste disposal as a member of Organom , a superordinate special-purpose association active in the Arrondissement of Bourg-en-Bresse. In addition, the association built and maintained facilities in the fields of culture, sport and extracurricular education.
Historical development
The municipality of Biziat only became a member on January 1, 2005. With effect from January 1, 2017, the community association was merged with the Communauté de communes du Canton de Pont de Veyle to form the successor organization Communauté de communes de la Veyle .
