The Communauté intercommunale pour le développement de la région et des agglomérations de Loudéac (CIDERAL) is a former French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the Côtes-d'Armor département , with its administrative headquarters in Loudéac . Its catchment area was in the south of the department. The community association founded on January 1, 1994 consisted of 33 communities.

Historical development

The Communauté de communes was founded on January 1, 1994 on a smaller scale and for a long time had 21 member communities. On January 1, 2014, it reached its current size when congregations from various other Communauté de communes were added. These were from the Communauté de communes du Pays de Corlay Corlay, Le Haut-Corlay, Plussulien, Saint-Martin-des-Prés and Saint-Mayeux, from the Communauté de communes du Pays d'Uzel-près-l'Oust Allineuc , Saint-Hervé and Uzel, three of the five municipalities of the Communauté de communes Guerlédan Mûr-de-Bretagne (Caurel, Saint-Gilles-Vieux-Marché, Saint-Guen) and the municipality of Langast from the Communauté de communes du Pays de Moncontour .

With effect from January 1, 2017, the community federations merged with the Communauté de communes Hardouinais Mené and thus formed the successor organization Loudéac Communauté - Bretagne Center .

Tasks of the community association

Since the majority of the municipalities were very small and had mayors (maires) as a secondary office, the communauté was responsible for various tasks of the municipalities involved. There were commissions (economy; communication (public relations); finance, market and labor; environmental protection, agriculture and spatial planning; tourism and preservation of cultural assets; sport; housing construction; culture) led by the president and vice-presidents of the municipal association, which carried out cross-municipal tasks.
