The Compost Peak is a 2,554 m high mountain in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Queen Alexandra chain, it rises 5 km north of Levi Peak south of Wahl Glacier and west of the Grindley Plateau .
The mountain was on a flagged route for participants in the Central Transantarctic Mountains Camp (2010-2011) on the Bowden firn field . Name to refer to is compost reminiscent staining of Doleritvorkommen one in the form talus on a slope of the mountain, of the remainder of sandstone the so-called Buckley formation with Dykes and sills of so-called Ferrar Dolerit exists.
