The ConBrio Verlag is a German music media and trade magazines publishing house with trimedialer orientation (print, audio, video / Web).

history

The publishing house was founded in 1993 by Theo Geißler and Felix Maria Roehl and is based in Regensburg . It goes back to Gustav Bosse Verlag , founded in 1912 by Gustav Bosse , which was taken over by nephew Bernhard Bosse in 1947 and sold to Bärenreiter-Verlag Kassel in 1955 . The management of the publishing house remained with Bernd Bosse until Theo Geißler took over the power of attorney in 1986. In 1999 Theo Geißler took over ConBrio as sole owner. The range of specialist books and journals has been expanded, especially in the area of elementary music education and theoretical choral literature. At the same time, the publishing house parted with its practical music program for children. The children's musicals Ritter Rost went to Terzio Verlag .

As a result, ConBrio also specialized in music and cultural-political books (e.g. the history of GEMA , the Siemens Music Prize ) and biographies (e.g. Siegfried Palm , Harald Banter , Erroll Garner , Sergiu Celibidache , Wolf Erichson ). The music almanac of the German Music Council has been published by ConBrio since 2007.
