The Conant Valley is a valley in the southern part of the Darwin Mountains in the Transantarctic Mountains . It's between Duncan Bluff and Communication Heights . The valley exit opens to the Hatherton Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 2001 after Neil Conant, radio technician in 15 Antarctic summer campaigns between 1984 and 2001 as part of the United States Antarctic Program at Siple Station and mainly at Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station .
