Concerto is a live album by Angelo Branduardi with recordings from a major concert tour.
The album was released on 3 LPs in 1980. Later Concerto was also released on 2 CDs . The recordings show the artistic diversity of Branduardi and partly his Celtic influence. During the tour on which these live recordings were made, a music film was made by Luisa Zappa-Branduardi.
Emergence
The live album contains recordings from Branduardi's tour in Germany (e.g. Bremen , Frankfurt , Berlin , Hamburg ), Switzerland , Austria , England and Italy . The recordings were made between September 15, 1978 and December 4, 1979. The sound engineer was Spartero Robespier Di Mattei, the album was mixed by Plinio "Kipling" Chiesa.
Special pressings
A promotional LP with just one Concerto record was released for radio, the press and music venues .
The original Italian pressing was provided with a sticker for sale in Germany, which reads: "Live on 3 LPs / Angelo Branduardi / recordings including Germany tour 1979/12-page photo supplement in color". Otherwise, the commercially available German pressing was only provided with a black and white insert, which corresponded to the second page in the color booklet. For the France tours, a red sheet was stuck to the cover with information about the album in French.
