Maurizio Fabrizio
Maurizio Fabrizio (born March 16, 1952 in Milan ) is an Italian composer and singer.
Career
Fabrizio attended the conservatory and in 1969 also played as a percussionist at La Scala under Claudio Abbado . Then he formed the pop duo Maurizio & Fabrizio with his brother Salvatore ("Popi") and in 1970 released the single Come il vento . 1971 the duo took Andata e ritorno on Festival Sanremo part. As an arranger , Fabrizio was responsible for several of Angelo Branduardi's albums from 1972 ( La luna , Alla fiera dell'est , La pulce d'acqua andCogli la prima mela ), he also worked with other well-known singers such as Patty Pravo , Ornella Vanoni or Mia Martini (for the latter he wrote the very successful Almeno tu nell'universo ).
He himself released four albums between 1975 and 1980, which, however, received little attention. Accordingly, he stepped up his songwriting activity in the late 1970s; He wrote hits like Storie di tutti i giorni ( Riccardo Fogli ), Sarà quel che sarà ( Tiziana Rivale ), Brividi ( Rossana Casale ) or Bravi ragazzi ( Miguel Bosé ) mostly together with the lyricist Guido Morra . He also continued to work as an arranger, for example for Bosé, Casale, Fabio Concato , Eduardo De Crescenzo , Gianni Togni , Toquinho and again for Branduardi. Even in later years, some hits came from Fabrizio's pen, such as I migliori anni della nostra vita ( Renato Zero , 1995), Strano il mio destino ( Giorgia , 1996), Dove c'è musica ( Eros Ramazzotti , 1996), Tutti gli zeri del mondo (Renato Zero and Mina , 2000) or Che fantastica storia è la vita ( Antonello Venditti , 2003). In 2011 and 2013 he brought out two of his own albums again, on which he re-presented some of the songs he had sung by other artists.
Fabrizio also composes incidental music .
