The Connecticut State Route 148 (abbreviated CT 148 ) is a state highway in the US state of Connecticut , the east-west direction is in.

The State Route begins on Connecticut State Route 79 in Killingworth and ends 16 miles in Lyme on Connecticut State Route 82 .

After branching off from State Route 79 south of the city limits between Killingworth and Durham , CT 148 runs in a south-easterly direction and passes, among other things, Stone House Cemetery and Emmanuel Church , a historic church from 1803. South of Kroopa Pond on Parmelee House heads east, merging from Tooley to Chester Road at the intersection with Connecticut State Route 81 .

West of Cedar Lakes in the city of Chester branches in a southeasterly direction along the Chester Airport , the State Route 145 off. In Main Street, CT 148 meets State Route 9 , which has been expanded to a four-lane freeway along its entire length. About one kilometer east of the junction with the CT 154 , the road crosses the Connecticut River with a ferry service and thus also the border between Middlesex County west of the river and New London County east of the river. After a total of 16 miles, the State Route ends at Connecticut State Route 82 in Lyme.
