Conny de Beauclair (full name and title of nobility recognized in Germany: Constantin Marquis de Rouville dictet de Beauclair ; * February 23, 1952 in the Munich district of Tivoli ) is an Austrian doorman and scene photographer .

Live and act

Conny de Beauclair is descended from French Calvinists of the 17th century. In 1972 he came to Vienna to finish his school education there. Beauclair initially worked as a chauffeur and later as a doorman at Club Montevideo in St. Annahof . Later he became known as the bouncer of the Viennese discotheque U4 . Here he also got to know the Austrian musician Falco , when he was still relatively unknown and the U4 was one of his regular bars. De Beauclair now organizes a Falco memorial night every year on the anniversary of his friend's death, who died in 1998 .

In addition to his work as a doorman, Conny de Beauclair is also active as a scene photographer. He has been photographing Vienna's nightlife for around 20 years and has been running the conny.at website since 2000 , on which over 700,000 of his photos can be seen. In the same year, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the U4, the book Conny de Beauclair presents 20 years of U4 was published , which contains numerous of his photos. Ten years later the photo book Conny de Beauclair presented 30 years of U4 . Beauclair also worked in the films “Vollgas” (2002), “Haider Lives - April 1, 2021” (2002) and “Falco - Hoch wie nie” (1998).

In 2010 he was awarded the Silver Medal of Merit of the State of Vienna .
