Conrad Max Süßner (born May 12, 1652 in Schlackenwerth ; † after 1696 ) was a German sculptor .

Life

Conrad Max Süßner was born as the son of Paulus Süßner and his wife Anna Christina in Schlackenwerth. He was the brother of Jeremias Sussner . He probably received his training as a sculptor from Johan Heinrich Böhme in Schneeberg . From 1679/80 he worked in Dresden together with his brother as a sculptor for the Electoral Saxon court.

Together with his brother and the sculptor Matthäus Jäckel he created a total of ten sandstone statues for the Church of the Cross in Prague in 1689/90 . In 1690 he was appointed court sculptor at the Dresden court.
