Conrad Schuhler

Conrad Schuhler (born May 28, 1940 ) is a German author .

Life

Schuhler studied economics at the universities of Munich (LMU), Manchester , Yale and Berkeley and graduated with a degree in economics.

At the end of the 1960s he was an assistant at the Institute for Sociology at the LMU, where he and his colleague Horst Holzer initiated a new model for the democratic participation of students in 1968 . In the 1980s he was editor-in-chief of the DKP newspaper Our Time . He was also co-editor of the cultural magazine Kürbiskern - literature, criticism, class struggle .

Since 2004 he has headed the Munich Association Institute for Social-Ecological Economic Research (isw).
