Conrad Voss Bark

Conrad Voss Bark , actually Conrad Lyddon Voss-Bark (born March 9, 1913 in Cottingham (East Riding of Yorkshire) , † November 23, 2000 ), was a British journalist and writer.

Life

Voss Bark completed his schooling at Hymers College in Kingston upon Hull and at the Bristol Grammar School . He then earned his living doing various odd jobs. In 1935 he got a job as a journalist with The Hampstead News ; later he moved to Golders Green Gazette .

Voss Bark worked for the Ambulance Service in London throughout World War II . Immediately after the end of the war, he returned to Bristol , where he briefly served as editor of the Western Daily Press . In the spring of 1947 he went back to London and became a journalist and editor at The Times .

In 1951 he became the first journalist to do a live TV report for the BBC .

He was married four times and had several children.

As a journalist, Voss Bark was best known for his political comments. In addition to his specialist books on fly fishing , which were (and still are) appreciated by many, there were also some crime novels that were highly valued by the public . To this end, Bark invented "Detective Mr. Holmes" in 1962, to which he subsequently dedicated some of his works.
