Constantin Stroe (born June 24, 1955 - September 14, 2015 ) was a Romanian football player .
Athletic career
From his adult debut in 1973, Stroe played for the Bucharest club Sportul Studențesc in Divizia A in the 1970s and 1980s . As part of the so-called “golden generation” alongside Mircea Sandu , Pau Cazan , Romulus Chihaia , Gino Iorgulescu , Aurică Rădulescu , Ion Munteanu , Necula Răducanu and Nicolae Tănăsescu played 123 league games. The greatest successes were winning the Balkan Cup against defending champion HNK Rijeka in 1980 and reaching the final for the Cupa României in the 1978/79 season , which ended with a 3-0 defeat against Steaua Bucharest .
