Constantin Zawadzki , also Konstantin (born May 5, 1866 in Ratibor , † June 29, 1944 in Bytom ) was a German politician ( center ). He was a member of the Weimar National Assembly , the Reichstag and the Prussian Landtag .

education and profession

After attending elementary school in Ratibor, Zawadzki trained as a carpenter and then went on a hike . From 1886 to 1889 he did military service in the Prussian Army . After passing the master craftsman's examination, he worked as a master carpenter and furniture salesman in Beuthen from 1890. He was a member of the Opole Chamber of Crafts and from 1899 head master of the local carpenter's guild. From September 1914 he served as a volunteer in the First World War ; he was used on the Eastern Front.

politics

Zawadzki was a member of the Center Party. He had been a city councilor in Beuthen since 1909 and head of the city council since 1922.

As a representative of constituency 10 (Opole) he was a member of the Weimar National Assembly from 1919 to 1920 and a member of the Reichstag from 1920 to 1922.

In December 1924 he was elected to the Prussian state parliament, to which he was a member until March 1933. In parliament he represented constituency 9 (Opole).

Honors

Zawadzki was the bearer of the papal order " Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice ".
