Contrie du Rocher

The Dolmen Contrie du Rocher (formerly also Le Caveau du Diable - ( German  "Crypt of the Devil" ) is located in a stream valley in a forest near the hamlet of La Leusserie, north of Ernée in the Mayenne department in France . In France, dolmen is the generic term for megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

The small Allée couverte is low at about 1.0 m high and narrow at 1.5 m wide. The remains of the approximately 6.0 m long main chamber consist of six pairs of bearing stones and three large cap stones. There is evidence that the original length of the structure was approximately 10.0 meters. The entrance appears to have been at the rather devastated northeastern end. Some stones are rough, massive blocks of diorite . There are many large stones scattered nearby.

The Menhir de la Broussardière and the small Allée couverte de la Tardivière, over 2.0 m high, are nearby .
