contterm
contterm is an independent trade union for dock workers. It was founded on December 8, 2009 as an initially local professional association for employees of the container terminals at the Port of Hamburg . The seat of the association is Winsen (Luhe) .
In the meantime, some dock workers have also been organized at the ports of Bremen and Bremerhaven. The board consists of Wolfgang Kurz, Thomas Ringleb and Heiko Kienzler. Contterm initially joined the Christian Trade Union Federation and cooperated with the DHV - the professional trade union , organized there . Membership and collaboration ended in May 2012. Since then, contterm has not belonged to any trade union umbrella organization.
