Union Ganymede
The Union Ganymed is the trade union for hotel, restaurant and café employees in the Christian Trade Union Confederation . It is named after Ganymede from Greek mythology , the cupbearer of the gods.
The union concluded a company collective agreement at McDonald’s in Brandenburg in 1999 , but this was attacked by the food-pleasure-restaurants union . In the works council elections in April 2004, Union Ganymed won eight of the nine works council seats at the Schwarz bakery in Lindenberg im Allgäu .
