Convention of Nautical Comradeships

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Convent of Nautical Comradeships (CNK) is an association of seven German student associations at seafaring schools and universities of applied sciences with nautical courses. The association, founded in 1960, brings together around 1,600 boaters, is politically independent and neutral towards the interests of the collective bargaining partners .

In contrast to most of the student corporations, the nautical comradeships that it brings together also exist partly at seafaring schools, at which officers' patents can be obtained , but no academic degrees . The member associations have unusually the status of a registered association (eV). They are mixed , so they take on men and women.
