Harry Stephen "Steve" Bartlett (born September 19, 1947 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American politician and businessman.

Bartlett studied at the University of Texas at Austin , where he received his Bachelor of Arts (BA) in 1971 . He then worked as a businessman and was a member of the city ​​council of Dallas from 1977 to 1981 . Bartlett was elected as a Republican to Congress and represented the state of Texas in the US House of Representatives from January 3, 1983 until his resignation on March 11, 1991 . From 1991 to 1995 he was the successor to Annette Strauss as the mayor of Dallas . Since June 1999 he has served as President and CEO of the Financial Services Roundtable .

Bartlett is married and has three children.
