Michael A. Andrews

Michael Allen Andrews (born February 7, 1944 in Houston , Texas ) is an American politician ( Democratic Party ). He represented the state of Texas in the US House of Representatives .

After graduating from high school in Fort Worth in 1962, Michael Andrews attended the University of Texas at Austin , where he received his Bachelor of Arts in 1967 . The Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University in Dallas followed three years later , after which he was inducted into the Texas Bar Association in 1971 and began practicing as a private lawyer. After serving as a law clerk with a federal district judge, he served as the assistant district attorney in Harris County from 1972 to 1976 . He then ran his own law firm again until 1983.

1982 Andrews was in the newly established 25th District of Texas in the Congress , where he exercised his mandate after multiple re-elections from January 3, 1983 to January 3, 1995. In 1994 he did not run again, but applied for a seat in the US Senate . In the primary of the Democrats, however, he only took third place.
