Beau Boulter

Eldon Beau Boulter (born February 23, 1942 in El Paso , Texas ) is an American politician . Between 1985 and 1989 he represented the state of Texas in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Beau Boulter attended Levelland High School until 1960 and then studied at the University of Texas until 1965 . After studying law at Baylor University in Waco and being admitted to the bar in 1968, he began working in this profession in Amarillo . At the same time he embarked on a political career as a member of the Republican Party . Between 1981 and 1983 he was a member of the Amarillo City Council. In 1982 he unsuccessfully sought his party's nomination for the congressional elections.

In the 1984 congressional elections , Boulter was elected to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC in the 13th constituency of Texas , where he succeeded the previously defeated Democrat Jack English Hightower on January 3, 1985 . After being re-elected, he was able to complete two terms in Congress until January 3, 1989 .

In 1988 he renounced another candidacy. Instead, he sought unsuccessfully for election to the United States Senate . In 1992 he applied for his return to Congress without success. Today, Beau Boulter runs a real estate company in Amarillo and the lobby company Beau Boulter LLC in Washington. He has three children with his wife.
