The Cook's Canyon Wildlife Sanctuary is a 60 acres (24.3 hectares ) large reserve in Barre in the state Massachusetts of the United States . It is administered by the Massachusetts Audubon Society .
Protected area
The sanctuary was named after the narrow gorge through which the Galloway Brook flows. It was a popular tourist destination in the early 20th century and its main attraction is a multi-tiered waterfall. The stone walls date from the 18th century. Hiking trails totaling 1 mi (1.6 km ) are available for visitors.
