The Coquistraße 17 building is a listed residential building in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

It is on the south side of Coquistraße in the Magdeburg district of Buckau . To the west, the building adjoins the former locomotive workshop of the Royal Prussian Railway Main Workshop in Buckau .

Architecture and history

The four-storey building was built as a brick construction between 1880 and 1890. The representative eleven-axis facade is designed in the neo-renaissance style. There are flat side projections on the sides . On the left two, on the right three axes are combined with corner rustication and crowned with a roof core . The window parapets on the second floor have a three-dimensional stucco decoration , including a portrait bust depicting a woman.

In the local register of monuments , the house is listed as a monument under registration number 094 17808 .

As part of the Wilhelminian style row of houses, the residential building is considered to be significant in terms of urban planning and is seen as an example of residential construction in Buckau, which was already industrialized at the time of construction.
