Corazón International is a Hamburg film production company founded in 2004 by Fatih Akın , Andreas Thiel († 2006) and Klaus Maeck .

Areas of activity

First and foremost, Corazón was supposed to serve the realization of Fatih Akın's film projects, meanwhile the company also produces and co-produces films by directors from Akin's circle and participates in international cinema productions. In 2008, two Corazón productions were among the films competing for the Oscar nominations for best foreign language film : On the other hand (for Germany ) and Takva (for Turkey ).

Together with the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf , Corazón initiated the charity campaign Kicken mit Herz for the benefit of children with heart disease.
