María Corina Smith Pocaterra (born September 8, 1991 in Caracas ), better known as Corina Smith , is a Venezuelan singer , actress and model .

Life

Corina Smith is the daughter of Roberto Smith Perera , chairman of the Venezuelan opposition party People's Will , and Marina Pocaterra. Corina Smith studied economics and finance at Boston University in the USA until she returned to Venezuela in 2014.

Smith has two sisters, María Sofía Smith and María Elisa Smith.

Acting career

Smith made her television debut in 2009 with the series Somos tú y yo, un nuevo día part, in which she played Maria Corina , a cheerleader for the Granadillo Academy. The series is a spin-off from Somos tú y yo and is based on the American film Grease . The series premiered on August 17, 2009 on the Latin American television station Boomerang and aired in Latin America , Europe , Asia and some Middle Eastern countries .

In 2010 Smith was the leading actress in the series NPS: No puede ser . The series is the second spin-off from Somos tú y yo and marks the conclusion of the series, which first aired on July 25, 2010 in Venezuela by Venevisión and on November 8, 2010 by Boomerang .

Music career

In 2015 Smith made her debut as a singer with the commercial single "La Difícil", of which she recorded a video clip in La Guaira , Venezuela , with the participation of Sheryl Rubio, Rosmeri Marval, Rosangelica Piscitelli, Natalia Moretti and Vanessa Suárez.

In May 2016 she released her second single, "Vitamina D". The single is part of their first album. In September 2016 she released her third single "Escape" together with the Venezuelan singer Gustavo Elis. The video clip was produced by Nael and Justin, who have worked with artists such as Jonathan Moly and Ilegales. In December 2016 she released her fourth single "Ahora o Nunca".

In June 2017 she was invited to present a prize at the Heat Latin Music Awards of the music channel HTV . In August 2017 she traveled to Ecuador as part of the disc promotion and was the "opening act" for the singer Daddy Yankee in Guayaquil . In September 2017 Smith presented her new single "Completa". The video was produced by Nael and Justin. The single quickly managed to position itself at the top of the Record Report , and as a result of the success achieved, it was the image of major brands in Venezuela .

In September 2018 she released the single "Cantante" in collaboration with the Venezuelan singers Neutro Shorty and Big Soto. The song was produced by the music companies Rimas Music and Trap Money. In December 2018 she released the single "Este año". The song was produced by the music company DLS Music.

In January 2019 she released the single "Mientras Tanto". The video was directed by Jose Bueno. In February 2019 she released the single "Fondo de Pantalla". The song was produced by the music company DLS Music. In April 2019 she released her single "Se te nota".
