Corinna Luedtke

Corinna Luedtke (born October 6, 1961 in Hameln ) is a German writer and project artist . Today she lives in Laatzen near Hanover .

Career

In addition to her writing and artistic work, the trained bookseller implements projects that sometimes extend over long periods of time.

In 1980 she won first prize in the competition of the city of Hameln on the subject of "Jews in Germany - yesterday and today" with a drawing.

In 2006 her novel “The nights with Paul or the day is elsewhere” was published in the edition Obst & Ohlerich by Trafo Verlag Berlin.

From 2009 to 2011 she supervised the long-term project "Writing against forgetting" with students from the Albert Einstein School in Laatzen. From the writing workshop, the book "Writing against forgetting" emerged, which primarily documented the students' texts and research results. The project received the special prize of the Literatur @ tlas competition and the 2010 Courage Prize from the city of Laatzen. In addition, the project received the Abraham plaque from the Society for Christian-Jewish Cooperation Hanover in 2013 together with its other school projects . V.

In 2011 the six-month project "You and I - Diversity as an Opportunity" followed with students from IGS Kronsberg Hannover. In the same year it received the 3rd prize of the Lower Saxony Children's Rights Prize “Future instead of origin”.

In 2011, together with Marcel Magis , she put together homoerotic poems by Kurt Hiller , which were published as an e-book by Motu One Verlag.

In 2012 Luedtke organized the four-day event “Hanover in Word” in cooperation with the state capital Hanover to commemorate the Nazi book burning in Germany in 1933 . On May 10, celebrities such as Matthias Brodowy , Lea Rosh and Dietmar Wischmeyer read from books by mostly ostracized writers on the Opernplatz in Hanover.

In May 2013, the musical and theatrical production “Words in the Light” was premiered in the Schwanenburg Limmer event room to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the book burning . This was followed by other performances as well as the production “Censorship in the dictatorship - and the courage to resist” adapted for schools in Peine, Laatzen and Hanover.

Luedtke is a member of the Association of German Writers (VS) and the Kurt Hiller Society .
