Cornelia Brader

Cornelia Brader (* 1974 in Memmingen ) is a German artist and sculptor .

Life

Cornelia Brader was born in Memmingen in Upper Swabia in 1974 . From 1993 to 1995 she attended the state technical college in Augsburg in the design department. She trained as a wood sculptor at the Technical School for Wood Sculpture in Garmisch-Partenkirchen from 1996 to 1999. This was followed by study visits up to 2000. From 2000 to 2006 she studied free art and sculpture at the University of Art in Bremen . She was a master student of Bernd Altenstein in Bremen until 2007. Today the artist lives and works in Memmingen.

Awards and grants

  • 1999: Leonardo da Vinci grant for Greece
  • 2003: DAAD scholarship for Bangkok
  • 2006: 1st prize for sculpture at the state art exhibition of the BBK Lower Saxony, audience award at the state art exhibition of the BBK Lower Saxony
  • 2007: 3rd Prize Young Art 69 from the Kunstverein Heidelberg
