Cornelia Ecker (born February 27, 1976 in Salzburg , Salzburg ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). Ecker has been a member of the Austrian National Council since October 2013 .

Life

After attending the Bürmoos elementary school (1982–1986) and the secondary school there , Cornelia Ecker passed her Matura at the commercial academy in Oberndorf near Salzburg in 1995 . She then organized business trips for the Kuoni travel agency between 1996 and 1999 . In 2013 she is the managing director of the company "Biohofmetzgerei Hainz GmbH" in Bürmoos and a 49% shareholder. The company operates as a market driver and also as a meat wholesaler

Ecker gained her first political experience in 2004 as a member of the Bürmoos municipal council . Since October 10, 2009, she has also been a member of the state party executive committee and the state party presidium of the SPÖ Salzburg, and since 2012 also of the district executive committee of the SPÖ Salzburg-Umgebung . Since June 14th she has been the deputy local party chairman in the Bürmoos community. She is also a member of the supervisory board of Jugend am Werk GmbH, which specializes in the marketing of refugee accommodation. She is the Vice President of the Salzburg Business Association. She has been a member of the Austrian National Council since October 29, 2013.
