Cornelia Kempf

Cornelia Kempf (born January 13, 1970 in Augsburg ) is a German writer .

Life and accomplishments

At first, Kempf mainly published in magazines and anthologies . After finishing school and training, she works as an IT specialist and writer . Her great passion for history opened her way to writing .

In 1996 she began researching the novel Morituri - The Doomed , an extensive work about the gladiators in ancient Rome . In 2001, the manuscript for The Doomed was awarded at an international writers' competition. In 2002 she begins with the novel The Gardens of Damascus and The Doomed are adapted for a script . In 2003 the work The Gardens of Damascus also won recognition at an international writers' competition.

Cornelia Kempf mainly writes historical novels , especially about the ancient and medieval epochs . Today she lives and works near Augsburg . In 2005 the author received the cultural recognition award of the city of Königsbrunn .
