Cornelius Bohm

Cornelius Böhm (born March 10, 1968 ) is a judge at the Federal Court of Justice .

After completing his legal training in 1997, Böhm entered the higher judicial service of the Free State of Bavaria . He was initially assigned to the Munich I Regional Court . In February 1999 he moved to the Bavarian State Ministry of Justice as a government councilor (as a civil servant on probation) , where he was appointed for life in July 1999 and promoted to senior government councilor in May 2000. Since his appointment as public prosecutor in February 2001, he has worked for the Munich I public prosecutor . In April 2002 he was reassigned to the ministry as senior government councilor and at the same time seconded to the Bavarian State Ministry of Finance for a period of two years ; during this time he was promoted to government director. He was then appointed judge at the district court in April 2004 and worked for one year at the Munich district court . In April 2005 he was reassigned to the Ministry of Justice as a government director. There he was promoted to Ministerial Council in August 2007 . From November 2011 to April 2015, after being appointed judge at the Higher Regional Court, he was a member of a civil senate at the Munich Higher Regional Court . Following this, he was first seconded to the Bavarian State Ministry of Justice for three months and then reassigned as Ministerial Counselor there in July 2015. After his election as judge at the Federal Court of Justice and his appointment on April 1, 2019, he was appointed to the VI, who is primarily responsible for the law of tort and medical liability law . Civil Senate of the Federal Court of Justice assigned as a member.
