The Corpus Speculorum Etruscorum is an international research project that has been running since 1973 with the aim of publishing all preserved Etruscan bronze mirrors.

The coordinator is the International Scientific Committee for the Corpus of Etruscan Mirrors . The international committee was constituted at a congress organized by the Istituto Nazionale di Studi Etruschi ed Italici under the direction of its President Massimo Pallottino and attended by scholars from 19 countries. The corpus replaces the collection Etruscan mirrors, which was edited in five volumes by Eduard Gerhard from 1843 to 1897 and after his death in 1867 by Adolf Klügmann and Gustav Körte in a contemporary form and based on modern knowledge .

The volumes are based on the organizational format of the Corpus Vasorum Antiquorum , appear sorted by country, within the countries by individual museums or collections, which in turn can be divided into fascicles. The first volumes appeared in 1981, and since then 30 volumes have been published. The Corpus publishes not only the decorated, but also the undecorated mirrors, handles and storage boxes. Photographs and drawings on a 1: 1 scale complement the scientific descriptions and analyzes.
