Corpus bonorum civitatis

The corpus bonorum civitatis of Hanover , also known as corpus bonorum for short , was a description of the city's landed property from 1720 onwards, as well as a list of the rights to which the city was entitled and the duties assigned or assumed .

The first “Corpus Bonorum Civitatis Hannover. A. MDCCXX "was created under the auspices of the then commissioned by the City Counsel and Mayor later Christian Ulrich Grupen .

The volumes of the corpus bonorum are a "valuable source of urban history ", which are divided into eight chapters :

"I. Immovable goods within the city,
II. Jura and justice within the city,
III. Nouns activa or the city of outstanding debt,
IV. Immovable property outside the city
V. Lehngüter in and outside the city,
VI. Law and justice outside the city,
VII. Immunitates, privilegia and freedoms in and outside the city,
VIII. Onera civitatis "
