Corrado Annicelli (born September 1, 1905 in Naples , † August 28, 1984 in Rome ) was an Italian actor .

Life

At the age of almost twenty, Annicelli was staged by Dora Menichelli for the role of an officer in the comedy Guerra in tempo di pace at the “Teatro Alfieri” in Turin. By the end of the 1930s, many roles as a youthful hero followed, as Annicelli, with his tall, slim stature and slightly Asian-looking eye area, with black hair and a winning smile, largely corresponded to the type in demand at the time. He played this character subject alongside the great mimes and actresses of the time such as Lamberto Picasso , Antonio Gandusio , Marta Abba , Dina Galli and Ruggero Ruggeri ; he stayed in the ensemble of the latter for eight years until 1945. In 1946 he went on an extensive tour of South America with Emma Gramatica , then played again with Picasso and then with Paola Barbara and Loris Gizzi in 1949/1950. After trips to the dialect theater, Come tu mi vuoi was a great success alongside Marta Abba in 1953 .

Annicelli, who had also worked for the radio during the war, was - after two appearances in the 1930s - seen in supporting roles in films from 1951. His filmography lists nearly forty films up to 1975, and from the mid-1960s onwards, a number of television series as well.
