Correllifkio Emiliano SpA ( CESAB ) is an Italian manufacturer of conveyor technology , known for its forklifts and belongs to the Toyota Industries Group .
history
The company was founded in Bologna in 1942 and taken over by the Maccaferri family in the same year. Business begins in 1948 with the production of railway and materials handling products. 1951 the first electric forklift is manufactured 1954 the first diesel forklift of the company.
Sales outside Italy began in Belgium in 1958 ; from 1968 tugs and high order pickers are also produced. In 1978, all-terrain forklifts were added and electric forklifts were delivered with electronic controls.
1982 CESAB Material Handling Deutschland GmbH was founded 1992 CESAB Ltd in Great Britain. In April 2000, CESAB was taken over by Toyota, but remained an independent brand with production and sales.
In 2006, Toyota consolidated its industrial truck activities into the Toyota Material Handling Group (TMHG). CESAB belongs to a manufacturer group that is the global market leader ahead of the German Kion Group ( Linde , Still etc.).
