Corry Bell

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Corry Bell (born May 10, 1904 in Stuttgart , † after 1933) was a German film actress .

Life

Little is known about Corry Bell's career. The slim, tall brunette joined the film shortly before the end of 1926 and was awarded numerous supporting and leading roles in less important films by directors such as Willy Reiber , Robert Dinesen , EW Emo , Manfred Noa and Edmund Heuberger .

In the detective film Special Characteristics , which premiered in December 1929 in the Wittelsbach Palace in Berlin , Bell played the role of Henriette, one of the main roles; she was the "unfaithful wife of the often absent world detective" Fardot. In its review of December 14, 1929, the Berliner Film-Kurier emphasized her performance "appreciatively".

Like many of her silent film colleagues, Bell did not make the transition to sound film. After a little maid role in Georg Jacoby's confusion game Love in Uniform , her only sound film, she completely disappeared from the public eye. She may have been banned from filming in 1933 or she may have emigrated.
