Coyo is an integrated social intranet - software that for corporate communication , collaboration is used and team messaging. COYO combines the concepts of classic intranet and social networks . The social intranet software COYO has been developed by the Hamburg-based software company COYO (formerly mindsmash) since 2011.

history

COYO (formerly mindsmash) was founded in 2010 by business informatics students Jan Marquardt and Marko Ilic with the aim of creating the most modern business software in the world. You started in 2010 as a consulting company for business customers in the areas of software architecture , software design and IT processes.

Since 2011, in addition to software consulting ( mindsmash Individual ), the company's own social intranet software called "COYO" has been developed ( mindsmash Products ).

In August 2016, the current version of COYO appeared, which was completely re-programmed according to the “mobile-first” approach.

In February 2017, mindsmash announced that it would concentrate on the area of mindsmash products and its product "COYO". At the same time, mindsmash GmbH was renamed COYO GmbH.

COYO has over 100 employees in Hamburg, Berlin and Amsterdam.

In September 2012, the IT magazine iX published a detailed overview of the social intranet solutions available on the market and suitable for companies . 6 of the 15 products tested included 6 solutions from Germany. Including Contens Social Workplace , COYO Social Intranet , IntelliEnterprise , Intrexx Share , Just Connect and xelos.net business . At the beginning of June 2014, the trade journal t3n asked its reader community on Facebook and t3n.de which is the best social intranet or social enterprise tool. COYO was in first place, followed by "Just" and "Swabr".

At the end of 2017, COYO GmbH was recognized by Focus -Business as the top employer for medium-sized companies 2018.

In April 2018, COYO was named a "Rising Star" by the Information Service Group (ISG) in their study ISG Provider Lens Germany 2018 in the area of ​​Social Enterprise Networking Suites.

Furthermore, in April 2018, COYO was listed by the Financial Times at number 353 of the 1000 fastest growing companies in Europe.

In autumn 2018, COYO was recognized by Statista and Focus -Business as a growth champion and landed in 118th place of the 500 fastest growing companies in Germany.
