The Craddock solid is up to 4477 m high solid in West Antarctic Ellsworth Land . It rises on the south side of the Vinson massif between the Hammer Col and the Severinghaus glacier in the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains . The massif includes Mount Rutford , the Bugueño Pinnacle , Rada Peak and Mount Craddock .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the massif Mount Craddock in 1965 . This name was only used on the southernmost peak of the massif on later maps. The committee made this distinction in 2006. Both formations are named after the American geologist John Campbell Craddock (1930-2006), head of the University of Minnesota expedition to the Sentinel Range and the Heritage Range in the Ellsworth Mountains between 1962 and 1963.
