Career
Craig Curran began his career on the other side of the River Mersey in Birkenhead , just off his native Liverpool with the Tranmere Rovers . In April 2006 he signed his first professional contract with the Rovers. In January 2007 he made his debut as a professional player against Bristol City for the then third division team . Three months later, he scored the first goal in his second game against Brighton & Hove Albion . On May 5, 2007, Curran scored the fastest hat trick in the club's history when he scored three goals against Brentford FC after 36 minutes. In four games he played in the 2006/07 season , he hit the opposing goal just as often. Already in the 2007/08 season Curran was able to play in the regular formation and completed 35 league games. After a lost season due to a groin injury, he was back as a regular player in the team a year later. Although he was offered a contract extension at the end of the 2009/10 season , the striker moved to Carlisle United in June 2010 .
In his first year he was in the starting line-up there too. In the second year it was only used sporadically. From March to April 2012 Curran was awarded to the fourth division club Morecambe FC . In August 2012 Curran signed with Rochdale FC . This awarded him in November 2012, in the National League North for Chester FC . He was then loaned to Limerick FC to Ireland. There he showed himself to be very accurate and was firmly committed. He returned to England in August 2014. He played for Nuneaton Town in the National League for six months before signing with Ross County in Scotland in January 2015 . With the club he won the league cup against Hibernian Edinburgh in 2016 . After the club was relegated from the Premiership in 2018 , Curran moved to Dundee United . He stayed with the second division for half a year, but then moved to city rivals FC Dundee who was coached by his former Ross County manager Jim McIntyre . He was also relegated with FC Dundee.
