Craig Dolby (born March 31, 1988 in Melton Mowbray , Leicestershire , England ) is a British racing driver .

Career

Like most motorsport people , Dolby began his career in karting , where he was active from 1992 to 2002. Among other things, he was runner-up in the national Super 1 JICA championship in 2002 . In 2003, the British moved to the single-seater racing and entered the Belgian Formula Renault 1.6 at where he finished with four wins fourth overall. After he was 13th in the British Formula Renault Winter Championship in 2004, he was 18th in the British Formula Renault in 2004. After a one-year break, Dolby returned to the Belgian Formula Renault 1.6 and won the championship title with seven wins. In 2007 he switched to the French Formula Renault and achieved eleventh place in the drivers' championship. He also competed in two Italian Formula Renault races.

In 2008 he switched to the newly founded Superleague Formula , in which the cars are painted in the colors of football clubs. In his debut season he started for the RSC Anderlecht team, which was supervised by the Astromega team , for which he had already driven in the Belgian Formula Renault 1.6 . The Englishman contested the entire season and was sixth overall with two podium finishes. In 2009 , Dolby stayed in the Superleague Formula and moved to the Tottenham Hotspur team, which was overseen by Alan Docking Racing . He won a race and secured his team the runner-up title behind the Liverpool FC racing car driven by Adrián Vallés . 2010 Dolby contests his third season in the Superleague Formula for the team from Tottenham Hotspur. He won the season opener at Silverstone and was also Weekend Winner . After the first race weekend, he led the overall standings.
