Craig Morgan (* 16 July 1965 as Craig Morgan Greer in Kingston Springs , Tennessee ) is an American country - singer . He had his only number one hit on the Billboard country charts in 2005 with That's What I Love About Sunday .

Career

Craig Morgan grew up in Nashville and initially did military service. While working with the troupe, he developed his talent as a musical entertainer and left the army in the late 1990s when he was offered a recording contract.

His debut album Craig Morgan brought several smaller single hits in 2000, but was not very successful. The second album I Love It followed in 2003 , and with Almost Home he had his first country top 10 hit and was on the Hot 100 for the first time . But it wasn't until 2005 that he had his breakthrough with the album My Kind of Livin ' . The album went gold and included his first country number one hit, That's What I Love About Sunday . The next single reached number 2 and again received gold.

With the following two studio albums and with his first greatest hits album in 2008, Morgan established himself as a fixture in country music and underpinned this with several top 10 placements. In 2016, his 19-year-old son died in a boat accident.
