Craig Ridge is a small and rocky ridge in West Antarctic Ellsworthland . It rises to the northeast of Polarstar Peak in the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains .
The University of Minnesota geological team , which explored the surrounding mountains between 1963 and 1964, named it after James A. Craig, helicopter pilot of the 62nd United States Army Transportation Corps , who supported the team. During the exploration of the mountains, fossil remains of a seed fern of the order Glossopteridales were discovered.
