description
Crassula moschata is an upright, reddish, one-year or possibly perennial , herbaceous plant up to 5 cm (rarely up to 15 centimeters) in length. The prostrate shoots have a diameter of up to 1 millimeter. The elliptical to obovate or spatulate leaves are 3.3 to 5 millimeters (rarely from 2.4 millimeters) long. There are often clear round, glandular points on the underside of the leaf.
A four-fold flower is formed per node . The flower stalk is 2 to 3 millimeters long. The triangular, blunt petals have a length of 1.5 to 1.7 millimeters and are 0.9 to 1 millimeter wide. The corolla is cup-like. The 2 to 2.3 millimeters long and 1 millimeter wide sepals are oblong lanceolate. They are longer than the petals. The elongated, rounded nectar flakes are 1 millimeter long and 0.5 millimeters wide. Two to four (rarely eight) seeds are formed per carpel . The elongated, ellipsoidal seeds are reddish brown, not ribbed, and tiny, wrinkled. They are 0.7 millimeters long and 0.35 to 0.44 millimeters in diameter.
