Creation Is Crucifixion is an American metal band from Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania that was formed in 1997.
history
The band was formed in early 1997. After a permanent line-up had arrived, the band signed a contract with King of the Monsters Records , which released the EP Dethrone or Devour . In the following eight months, the band worked on their debut album, which was released in 1998 under the name In_Silico on King of the Monsters Records. In 1998, Willowtip Records released a split with Fate of Icarus . Shortly thereafter, a second split release with Suicide Nation followed via Cyberdine243 Records . Through these releases, the band achieved the opportunity for several tours: The first tour took place in the summer of 1998 for over a month, before a second tour with Fate of Icarus followed in the winter of 1998/1999. After that, the band wrote material for a split release with Unruh , which was also released on Willowtip Records. In addition, the EP Automata was released in 1999 by Cyberdine243 Records. In the summer of 2000 a month-long US tour followed. In the same year the band also took up the songs of their three previously released split releases again to release them as an EP on Willowtip Records in early 2001. In the same year, the band also ended a month-long winter tour of the USA, whereupon the first appearances in Europe followed in May 2001 . In Germany, the band then recorded the EP Child as Audience , which was released on their own label, Hactivist Media. The band then moved to San Francisco , before the album Destructivist was released in August 2001 . A five-month tour followed in September, two of them in Europe. After that, the band worked on more songs. She is currently on a break, with drummer Laughlin also working for Cattle Decapitation at times.
