Creck

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Creck was a chocolate substitute product of the GDR by the Berlin manufacturer VEB elf .

The creck ( EVP : 1, - M ) produced in 100 g bars (150 × 75 mm) consisted of a mixture of hard fat, sugar, some cocoa and ground crispbread . It was recommended to chill the sweet bar before consuming it. The product, enriched with protein , calcium , minerals and lecithin , was sold under the slogan "Joy and energy for children and athletes" . Accordingly, the packaging adorned sporty motifs. Each board contained a collector's picture, and later scrapbooks were also created.

A chocolate substitute was to be offered with the production of the Creck bars, since raw cocoa imports had to be significantly reduced due to the increased world market prices and the weak exchange rates in the GDR .

Today school milk, especially cocoa, is offered under the Creck brand.
