Crepis auriculifolia is a plant type from the family Asteraceae (Asteraceae).
description
Crepis auriculifolia is a perennial stem hemicryptophyte that reaches heights of 6 to 20 (rarely up to 40) centimeters. The basal leaves are 30 to 210 millimeters long, obverse-shaped to obscure lanceolate or elliptical and distantly serrated or slightly lobed. The stem leaves are linear-lanceolate.
The shell is sometimes slightly glandular and 10 to 14 millimeters long. The outer bracts reach one to two thirds of the length of the inner bracts. The fruits are 5 to 6.5 millimeters long, brown and have 4 to 5 strong ribs and 3 to 5 stripes between them.
The flowering period extends from April to July.
The plant is diploid with 2n = 10 chromosomes.
Occurrence
Crepis auriculifolia is endemic to Crete . The species grows on dry rock slopes, crevices and rock heads at altitudes of 600 to 2200 meters (rarely from 200 meters).
